Thought Introducing More Liquid

This is much larger than that reported for solid composites and other materials, researchers said."The sample does not give you the impression that it contains any liquid."This is not really squishy; it is more like a sugar cube that you can compress quite a lot. But we wanted the liquid to be stable instead of flowing everywhere,” said Dong. Representational image Scientists have invented an self-adaptive material that heals itself and bounces back from extraordinary compression which may be useful for tissue engineering or lightweight structural applications."Other ‘self-healing’ materials encapsulate liquid in solid shells that leak their healing contents when cracked. That is very different from a gel,” said Lou.Their liquid contents enhance their viscoelasticity, a measure of their ability to absorb the strain and return to their original state, while the coatings keep the spheres together.

The spheres are extremely resilient as their thin shells deform easily. Those are very cool, but we wanted to introduce more flexibility,” said Pei Dong from Rice University. Like a sponge, it returns to its original form after compression.."We wanted a biomimetic material that could change itself, or its inner structure, to adapt to external stimulation and thought introducing more liquid would be a way.Called SAC (self-adaptive composite), the material consists of what amounts to sticky, micron-scale rubber balls that form a solid matrix. The spheres also have the freedom to slide past each other when compressed, but remain attached.Making SAC is simple, and the process can be tuned - a little more liquid or a little more solid - to regulate the product’s mechanical behaviour, researchers said. The viscous polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) further coats the entire surface.
When cracked, the matrix quickly heals, over and over.Scientists have invented an self-adaptive material that heals itself and bounces back from extraordinary compression which may be useful for tissue engineering or lightweight structural applications.Researchers suggest that SAC may be a useful biocompatible material for auto door seal Manufacturers tissue engineering or a lightweight, defect-tolerant structural component. In tests, scientists found a maximum of 683 per cent increase in the material’s storage modulus — a size-independent parametre used to characterise self-stiffening behaviour. The material created by researchers at Rice University in Texas, US, combines self-healing and reversible self-stiffening properties.
The polymer components begin as powder and viscous liquid. The nice thing is that it recovers,” Lou added. The findings were published in the journal ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces. With the addition of a solvent and controlled heating, the PDMS stabilises into solid spheres that provide the reconfigurable internal structure. The researchers made SAC by mixing two polymers and a solvent that evaporates when heated, leaving a porous mass of gooey spheres. In SAC, tiny spheres of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) encapsulate much of the liquid

Their First Training Session Ahead

Australia’s weakness in this bleak period has been batting in general, and coping wholesale Rubber gasket with good spin bowling in particular,” he explained..The team, which arrived last night, had a light training session and played football in their one-hour outing here. Chappell said the entire series has been planned just for money. The ODI rubber commences on October 13. "Agreeing to this meaningless ODI tour of India so close to an Ashes series is evidence that Cricket Australia is more concerned with dollars than sense,” Chappell wrote in ESPN Cricinfo. In the absence of injured skipper Michael Clarke, Chappell said Australia would be all the more vulnerable against an Indian team, which dominates on home turf.

India and Australia will clash in a Twenty20 and seven ODIs starting October 10 in Rajkot.Coming down heavily on Cricket Australia for agreeing to the upcoming ODI series against India, former captain Ian Chappell said the "badly timed” matches will dent the team’s morale by exposing its "glaring” batting frailties on spin-friendly tracks."While few from the ODI team will be in contention for the Test side, a demoralising loss on the eve of an Ashes series won’t help Australian morale, while it will boost England’s outlook,” he added.."The flaws have become so glaring that at a Lord’s Taverners function I attended recently in London, the comments from former players were pointed.."
The glaring batting weakness will be exacerbated in India by the absence of Michael Clarke, easily the best player of spin in the Australian side. Without Clarke to guide them and be a steady source of runs, Australia are at risk of again losing in India,” he said. ‘What’s happened to Australian batsmanship ’ was the welcome from past opponents before I received the obligatory ‘Oh, and by the way, how are you ’,” he added."Australia’s mounting Test losses not only hurt in the record book but have also shredded the team’s aura.Oz start practice at mumbai’s CCIThe Australian cricket team on Sunday sweated it out at the Cricket Club of India in their first training session ahead of the seven-match ODI series against India that will be preceded by the lone Twenty20 game at Rajkot on October 10. The visiting team would have another two-day practice session at the Cricket Club of India before leaving for Rajkot for the opening T20 game and they are expected to have proper net sessions tomorrow morning.33rd Day Of Lockdown Total Cases

Can Avoid Paying For Coverage

For example, insurers can analyze real-time driving data to determine fair insurance rates, develop tailored products, and even provide driving assistance to prevent accidents. Besides having the potential to reward good behaviour, this also enables prevention of accidents and enables collection of data to identify risk zones for traffic policy related changes. The storage of such huge data size will incur substantial cost and, therefore, the entity managing such data needs to be duly compensated. While generation of telematics data will take time, insurers are encouraged to develop pricing models on some assumptions and underwriting estimates to pilot a few products.

The insurance industry would need to have free access to the data generated by multiple sources including telematics, on-board diagnostic (OBD) devices, and adaptive cruise control (ACC) fill this void by monitoring vehicles in real-time through the use of sensors. With the availability of technology based driver and vehicle insights, there is an ability to provide customized solutions to the consumers like PAYD (Pay as you drive), UBI (Usage Based Insurance) and PHYD (Pay how you drive).Given the usage of commercial vehicles and the high third party risk they carry, it would be worthwhile to examine the possibility of mandating telematics for these class of vehicles.
This will help insurers provide customised policies based on driver and vehicle insights. These sensors send signals about drivers and their surroundings, which can help car insurance companies assess risks better. Insurance Information Bureau of India (IIBI) which acts as data repository for insurance companies can manage this data and its protection. The Irdai found that in Europe, the UK, the USA and other developed markets, driver details such as age, occupation, marital status, credit history, and driving history are commonly used for underwriting purposes..Key challenges linked to telematics data are ownership, data sharing and portability and privacy protection. Irdai has also recommended developing pricing models on assumptions based on such data and piloting a few products."The draft opens up the possibility for innovation by allowing usage of telematics, pay as you drive, new coverages addition in liability only policy which doesn Grommet Factory exist as on date,” said Sajja Praveen Chowdary, Head- Motor Insurance, Policy-bazaar.
Evolved insurers now consider factors such as the driver’s colour of the eye, driving behaviour and social behaviour for a comprehensive assessment of the motor risk to be underwritten.com. While this not only provides better risk # control, it also allows the fleet owner to manage their fleet and its performance better, found the Irdai. The performance of these products should be closely monitored so that potential losses could be minimized and timely corrective action can be taken, IRDAI suggested. Premium may be linked to driving, social behaviour. This will help auto owners only pay the premium aligned to their driving profile and can avoid paying for coverage based on one-size-fits-all system. The insurance industry would need to have free access to the data generated by multiple sources including telematics, on-board diagnostic (OBD) devices, and adaptive cruise control (ACC) fill this void by monitoring vehicles in real-time through the use of sensors. The insurance regulator has recommended to adoption of telematics for underwriting own-damage motor insurance

Through The Support Received By Other Company

Just a week after the government revised, and implemented its new FDI policy, which prohibited e-commerce firms from selling their authorized-firm products on their own site, e-commerce giant, Amazon has recalled its largest sellers, Cloudtail, on their own sites. Meanwhile, Amazon called Cloudtail back online by supposedly reorganizing the shareholding, legal experts stated the e-commerce firms will apply different methods to sustain huge discounts online, the financial express reported.

E-commerce firms may have to provide subscription service for sellers in place of the support provided by them in terms of logistics, payments, etc, after the revised policy prohibits them to hold equity stake in sellers on their site."We have seen them thinking of possibly offering subscription service. For instance, sellers who subscribe to that service voluntarily will get better terms of listing their products for offering them at more competitive pricing. Also, companies can help sellers through offerings like discounts on logistics cost etc. So there are certain thoughts on how to China Rubber Products Manufacturers do it,” Archana Tewary, Partner, J Sagar Associates told the Financial Express.Previously, the government prohibited companies holding equity stake by FDI-aided e-commerce marketplaces or its group companies to sell its products on the platform run by such marketplaces.Friendship agreementE-com giants like Amazon and Flipkart might also enter into an agreement called ‘Best Friends’ agreement which doesn’t lawfully chains a firm to operate business with a specific company.E-commerce firms like Amazon, can freely dispossess their stakes in the seller’s firm for them to acts as independent sellers.
Firms can then forge a Best Friends partnership to proceed with their support to them simultaneously pulling in investors to take care of the investment portion."Through Best Friends agreement, for example, Amazon after divesting its equity can get investors to invest in the seller company saying that it will continue its support to the seller but the investments will be done investors,” Ravi Singhania, Managing Partner, Singhania & Partners, told the Financial Express."Investors may invest in it even if there is a certain limit by the government ahead,” Anil Joshi, Founder and Managing Partner at Unicorn India Ventures told the Financial Express.
Best Friend partnership can happen theoretically and is easily applicable, stated Kartik Maheshwari, a technology lawyer, Nishith Desai Associates. It may be a faultless argument to be made by the autonomous seller for such agreement that it is attempting to build its brand or develop etc., through the support received by other company, Maheshwari added. After February 1, 2019, Amazon removed thousands of items retailed by its top dealers Cloudtail and Appario on its commercial center because Amazon possessed indirect stake of 49 per cent in the two sellers, the Financial Express reported.Although, Cloudtail had reportedly rejoined Amazon with its above 300,000 products after Amazon lowered its holding in the company from 49 to 24 per cent, Reuters had reported earlier.(With agency inputs)

Enough On Our Plate To Consume

At a time when governments claim credit for doubling farmers’ income through policy interventions and extending necessary support, tribal women in Odisha’s poverty-stricken Koraput district have increased their earnings three-fold (almost 140 per cent) in the past four years on their own."We never use chemical fertilisers and pesticide because they are not only costly, but harmful. They would not pay us any money.

It is now a popular brand in Odisha. It all started in 2014 with the implementation of a project called "Strengthening Forest and Forest Based Livelihood”.88 per cent.D05. We prepare organic manure at home and use them. "Previously, the locals faced food crisis of sorts for many years. This achievement was possible after women from 4,000 households, inspired by Usaid and Bhubaneswar-based Centre for Youth and Social Development (CYSD) organised themselves into 261 women producers’ groups (WPGs) and started selling processed forest and agriculture products under the brand "Banashree”. Now, a hill-broom (also known as hill-broomstick) made by us fetches between `50 and `60,” said Tilei Wadeka of Pandakapadar village. "With the additional income earned through trade and collective marketing, I can send my child to school and repair the roof of my house,” says Rupai Wadeka of Laxmipur.
The agriculture, horticulture and NTFPs that the tribal women process and sell include minor millets such as suan, mandia and kangu; turmeric, mango jelly, grafted mango, tamarind, deseeded tamarind, hill grass, piped hill-brooms, plastic-handle broom-sticks, steel-handle broomsticks and lemon grass. It gives high yields,” says Hari Miniaka, a woman producer."Earlier, before forming the women groups, we used to barter the hill grass with local traders for a meagre quantity of dry fish, dry chillies, onions and the like. The baseline study conducted in 2014 before the inception of the project showed that the average annual income of a tribal family was `19,618, which in 2017 went to `47,256, an increase of 140. The project focused on mapping O-Ring Kit agriculture and non-timber forest products (NTFPs) in 250 villages spread over five blocks of Maoist-hit Koraput district — Laxmipur, Narayanpatna, Bandhugaon, Baipariguda and Kundra. The products sold under Banashree are completely organic and hence they are in great demand. Now, we have enough on our plate to consume and need not starve,” said Ms Khila.Laxmi Khila of Dadhipada under Doraguda panchayat in Baipariguda block said the community farming practices addressing food requirements

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Lucknow: The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh is all set to launch "one district, one product” scheme that will not only give a distinct identity to each of the 75 districts in the state but will also generate employment.

The "one district, one product” scheme is likely to be formally launched on January 24 which is being celebrated as UP Diwas for the first time. The state government has already identified products that are specific to various districts.According to the government spokesperson, the Rubber gasket Suppliers department of micro, small and medium enterprises has put up a list of products that will be promoted in the districts under this scheme. The spokesman said that the products had a local connection and significance and the state government would help in their branding, marketing and promotion.
The scheme will be implemented under the supervision of a cell set up under the industrial development commissioner (IDC).
